Mac Apps Privacy Policy

The 1dot1 Mac apps, including Awake, do not collect, store on any server, share or sell personal data. They have no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and they do not connect to the internet.

Settings you choose, such as durations, keyboard shortcuts and colours, are saved in the app's own preferences on your Mac.

If you pick an image for a feature such as Hide Desktop, the app keeps a reference to that file so it can show it again. The image is never copied anywhere else or uploaded.

Removing the app and its preferences removes this information.

Awake, ChargeLens, Diskscape, DropNote, EjectBox, Gaugebar, Glyphgrab, Kaizen, Lumendial, MenuFold, MindNotes, Paneway, PopMirror, QuickShot, SoundTune, Spotcursor, SuperClip, Switcheroo, Tintpick, USB Buddy and ZoneDay.

Some apps ask macOS for permissions, for example the camera, microphone, calendars, screen recording or accessibility, only when a feature you turn on needs it. Anything read through a permission is used on your Mac for that feature and is not sent anywhere by the app.

Awake needs no special permissions. Focus Dim reads only the position and size of on-screen windows, not their contents.

Dictation in MindNotes and DropNote uses Apple's speech recognition. The apps ask for recognition on the Mac itself wherever the language supports it; where it does not, macOS may send the audio to Apple to transcribe it, under Apple's privacy policy. Audio is never saved by the apps.

Apps bought from the Mac App Store are sold by Apple; Apple's privacy policy covers that purchase. Apps bought on 1dot1.shop are covered by the store's privacy policy at 1dot1.shop/privacy.

If you email for support, the message and your email address are used only to reply.

The apps do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

If an app ever needs to handle personal data, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date below will change.
